Italian Chicken and Peppers Recipe

May 27, 2017Magazines and Newspapers…the ugly truth they don’t want you to know!
When magazines and newspapers charge you $400+ to display your add on their publications, they tell you they have a circulation of 10,000 or 100,000 readers.
That information is a little incorrect, while you don’t have a way to know the real number of copies that are actually being printed, they are just telling you the circulation numbers, not the actual readers that picked up the publication and saw your add.
There is no way you can tell us that every magazine or newspaper is being read by the receiver, we believe that their pricing should reflect that reality. We believe that every company that buys advertising should demand fair pricing.
Just think about all the publications you receive on the mail every week and what happens to must of it, it ends up in the garbage, right?
You need to be where your customers are, and for sure they are not reading magazines or newspaper, or worst mailed advertising. You need to be online, on their social media where their life happens.
At Florida Shopping Guide we constantly run Social Media ads, showing people different scenarios like, “What’s up for the weekend?” or “Looking for that Dress?”, these are examples of how we approach real life searches that are trending online, and that way we create interaction with local customers and the businesses we represent. If you are a business owner you can read more in here.
Video killed the radio star?…or we might say Online killed the printed star?
Times changed and the way to do business did too. Mega companies identified the trend earlier than small business owners and redirect their advertising campaigns to the online arena. Check any big company website and you’ll see that they have a Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, Pinterest, YouTube, LinkedIn, Google+, etc… pages.
They know that in addition to have a Website that reflects the business reality of 2017, where your website should be responsive to mobile devices and visually attractive, they must also have a presence on Social Media channels.
Of course, big companies with million dollar budgets for advertising hire people to run their social media, but you as a small business owner can do something about it too.
Things we recommend:
- You need at least a Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter business accounts.
- Even if you don’t use them open accounts for the rest of the Social Media platforms available. You don’t know when you’ll need them and you don’t want another business with your same name in any other city, state or country getting it first.
- Maybe your budget don’t allow you to hire someone to do this for you, but you can identify an employee that can take care of it.
- Don’t post more than two times per day.
- Always include an image on your posts.
Expand the conversation!
If you are on a date, and there is some chemistry between you and the other person, you won’t let it end, instead you will suggest to go for a walk or coffee, but you want to keep talking.
The same goes with your customers, if someone comments or ask a question about your business on your social media pages, you should interact quickly, with valuable comments or content.
Always remember to ask your customer to “Like or Follow your page”, you don’t want to miss the opportunity to show these customers all the amazing products or services your business provides.
Always display quality content, leave the funny videos or memes for your personal page, your business can display information about your business, blogs from other sites with important information related to your field, etc…
We will elaborate more on how to run a successful social media platform on future posts, make sure you follow us and leave your comments or questions.
